1. What is your name, location, and job at REC?
Hi, my name is Jeffrey Sloote. I am 34 years old, and I live together with my girlfriend Vera and our four-legged companion Elton in Roermond, in the southern part of the Netherlands. I assumed the role of Account Manager Benelux at REC in November.
2. Why did you choose to work for REC?
Beyond the undeniable coolness factor, REC's resolute focus on sustainable energy and its reputation as an innovator were magnetic draws for me. I am a firm believer in the transformative impact of renewable energy, and REC seemed tailor-made for contributing to this visionary mission.
3. Why is solar power the best power?
Picture solar power as the superhero of the energy realm – clean, green, and possessing the power to save the day (and the planet). This renewable energy source not only slashes our carbon footprint but propels us towards a more sustainable future. Opting for solar power is a deliberate stride toward a cleaner and brighter tomorrow.
4. What is your secret talent?
While I'm not sure about having any extraordinary talents, I do enjoy playing football. The one with the round ball. I train two times a week and have been playing at a decent level in amateur third-division matches for 18 years, consistently as part of the first team. So, it is no secret I am a team player.
5. Who would you like to have a long dinner with?
The first person that comes to mind is Elon Musk. I am sure the conversation would be out of this world, and maybe he would share some insights on building sustainable rockets or electric cars.
